Project Manager
Website Alteon Energy
Building airplanes that fly for ~417 days.
About Alteon Energy
The Wright Brothers gave humanity flight, Alteon exists to give humanity perpetual flight. We
are building the world’s highest endurance planes that can fly over the oceans for ~417 days
at a time.
With these, we’re creating a world where you can have perpetual real time visibility across
100% of the ocean. A world where a million perpetually flying airplanes create a new layer of
aerial infra that makes it possible to track the movement of every ship. Putting an end to all
crime offshore from drug and human trafficking to terror attacks like 26/11, among other
things.
As a company, we’re driven by pushing the boundaries of what’s possible – we don’t like to
settle for good enough. We are here to build the best technology possible, the best airplane
possible, to do the best engineering possible. Limited only by the laws of physics.
About the Role
As Project Manager, you’ll be the person who makes sure commitments turn into outcomes.
You’ll drive rigour across the various teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and flight testing –
tracking milestones, flagging risks early, and making sure nothing slips quietly.
We’re building airplanes that have never existed before. That means our processes are
evolving constantly. Your job is to bring structure without bureaucracy – enough process to
keep things tight, not so much that it slows us down.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering execution and organizational discipline. You’ll
work closely with engineering, testing, and manufacturing teams to keep the company
moving fast and moving right.
You’ll Thrive Here If You:
● Can’t stand missed deadlines or vague accountability – you bring clarity to teams as
to what the outcomes we need to achieve.
● Are comfortable operating across manufacturing floors, flight test sites, and
conference rooms – all in the same week.
● Know how to drive rigour without becoming a bottleneck. You add structure that
accelerates, not slows.
● Have strong judgment on when to escalate, when to push, and when to step back.
● Are energized by working in a fast-moving environment where the playbook doesn’t
exist yet.
Roles and Responsibilities
Program Management: Own cross-functional program management cadence. Enable team
members to track milestones, identify dependencies, surface risks before they become
problems, and run regular cadences to keep teams aligned and accountable.
Manufacturing & Flight Test Rigour: Work closely with engineering and production teams
to establish and enforce discipline around build quality, test readiness reviews,
documentation, and post-test analysis. Ensure that nothing goes to flight test without the
right checks in place.
Process Building: Identify where the organization needs more structure, checklists,
review gates, reporting cadences, documentation standards, and build them. Keep things
lean and functional, not heavy.
