My journey in Formula Student began in a very hands-on way, supporting seniors with whatever was needed. That exposure gradually turned into curiosity, leading me to explore the technical side more deeply. By my third year, I had the opportunity to contribute to the development of a CFRP monocoque.
One of the most impactful aspects of Formula Bharat was the design evaluation process. Interacting with judges taught me that good engineering isn’t about having a perfect design, it’s about understanding and clearly communicating the trade-offs behind your decisions.
If you have the opportunity to be part of a Formula Student team, take it. The learning you gain from building, testing, failing, and iterating on a real product alongside a team is something that classrooms alone can’t replicate.
Building a race car with a team of peers and taking it through a rigorous international competition is an experience that shapes you into a more practical, resilient engineer.
